Synthyroid

Were you looking for information about Synthroid? Synthyroid is a common misspelling of Synthroid.

Synthroid® is commonly prescribed for people who have an underactive thyroid or other thyroid problems. It works by increasing the body's thyroid hormone levels. However, Synthroid is not suitable for everyone. For example, people with osteoporosis, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, or any heart problems may not be able to safely take this drug.

Potential side effects include insomnia, hair loss, and a rapid heart rate. However, most people tolerate the medication well and have no problems. Seek immediate medical attention if you think you have overdosed on Synthroid and have symptoms, such as seizures, fever, or confusion.
