Overdose With Rosiglitazone and Metformin
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) (see Avandamet and Blood Sugar)
- Lactic acidosis, due to the metformin in this medication (see Metformin and Lactic Acidosis)
- Fainting
- Shakiness
- Fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
- Confusion
- Sweating
- Muscle pain
- Trouble breathing
- Abdominal pain (or stomach pain)
- Feeling cold
- Dizziness
- Slow or irregular heartbeat.
If you happen to overdose on rosiglitazone and metformin, seek medical attention immediately.
Rosiglitazone and Metformin Storage Methods
Rosiglitazone and metformin should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature, away from moisture or heat.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
Rosiglitazone and Metformin: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you do not take your dose as scheduled, take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of this drug.

Rosiglitazone and metformin tablets are available in four strengths:
- Rosiglitazone and metformin 2 mg/500 mg tablets -- containing 2 mg rosiglitazone and 500 mg metformin
- Rosiglitazone and metformin 2 mg/1000 mg tablets -- containing 2 mg rosiglitazone and 1000 mg metformin
- Rosiglitazone and metformin 4 mg/500 mg tablets -- containing 4 mg rosiglitazone and 500 mg metformin
- Rosiglitazone and metformin 4 mg/1000 mg tablets -- containing 4 mg rosiglitazone and 1000 mg metformin.
