Is Pioglitazone Used Off-Label?

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend pioglitazone for treating something other than diabetes. This is called an "off-label" use. For example, the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is an off-label pioglitazone use.
