Drug Interactions With Pioglitazone and Glimepiride

As with all medications, there are potential drug interactions with pioglitazone and glimepiride. When it is taken at the same time as medicines such as beta blockers, diuretics, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the risk of developing extremely high or low blood sugar levels is increased. Drug interactions with pioglitazone and glimepiride may be dangerous, and your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and adjust your dosage.
