Insulin lispro is a medication licensed to treat type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This rapid-acting insulin, which is available by prescription only, is injected within 15 minutes before or after a meal to help control blood sugar levels, which often spike after eating. This product is usually used with a long-acting insulin to provide a steady level of insulin throughout the day.
