Alogliptin and metformin is a combination medication licensed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The medication, which comes in tablet form, is typically taken twice a day. Many people find it effective for managing their diabetes; however, side effects are possible and include common cold symptoms, headaches, and diarrhea.
