Drug Interactions With Levothyroxine

Antacids, digoxin, and iron are among the medicines that may interact with levothyroxine. When certain medications are taken with levothyroxine, drug interactions may occur. Some of these interactions can alter the amount of levothyroxine that your body absorbs. As a result, your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dosage of medications or may suggest taking these medications a few hours apart.
