Possible Side Effects With Humalog Mix75/25

Possible side effects of all insulins, including Humalog Mix75/25, include:

A skin reaction at the injection site (such as redness, itching, or a temporary lump)
Skin thickening at the injection site
Skin pitting at the injection site
Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia).

Rapid-acting insulins (such as the one in Humalog Mix75/25) are more likely to cause low blood sugar levels, compared to long-acting or even short-acting insulins. This is why it is so important to start eating within 15 minutes of a dose of Humalog Mix75/25. Not eating or waiting too long to eat increases the risk of experiencing dangerously low blood sugar levels.
