Korlym Drug Information

Adults with Cushing's syndrome may receive KorlymTM (mifepristone) to help control blood sugar levels. It is specifically designed for people who have this medical condition in addition to type 2 diabetes or glucose intolerance due to high cortisol levels. It is also used when surgery has failed or is not an option.

Although it may be an effective treatment, not everyone can use this drug. Information on Korlym should be reviewed with your healthcare provider before taking it to help minimize potential complications. For instance, women who are pregnant or people who need to take corticosteroids for serious medical conditions should not take Korlym.

While most people do not experience any problems with this product, some people may develop some type of side effect, such as headaches, nausea, or fatigue.
