The use of canagliflozin can help lower blood sugar levels enough to reduce your risk of developing complications related to diabetes, such as heart, nerve, eye, or kidney problems.

This drug comes in the form of a tablet and is taken once daily, usually before your morning meal. Although canagliflozin is generally well tolerated, it is possible to develop side effects with this medication. Some of the most common side effects include increased urination, bladder infections, and yeast infections.
