Alogliptin and Metformin Information

As a combination medication, alogliptin and metformin (Kazano®) is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. This medicine contains two active ingredients that work to control blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin produced after meals and decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver.
 
Alogliptin and metformin comes in tablet form and is taken twice daily. Your specific dosage will depend on how well your diabetes is controlled, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are taking, among other factors.
