Actoplus Met XR Medication Information

Actoplus Met® XR (pioglitazone and metformin XR) is a drug used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, which is also called noninsulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. This medication comes in tablet form and is generally taken once a day, preferably with the evening meal. The active ingredients in it work in two different ways to control blood sugar.
 
Most people have no problems with Actoplus Met XR; however, this medicine is not right for everyone. Prior to beginning treatment with Actoplus Met XR, inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking and any other medical conditions you have, especially heart, liver, or kidney disease.
