Cytomel Warnings and Precautions
You should not take Cytomel if you:
- Are allergic to Cytomel, liothyronine sodium, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
- Have untreated adrenal insufficiency, as Cytomel can cause serious problems unless this condition is appropriately treated.
- Have an untreated overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
