Diagnosing Adrenal InsufficiencyDiagnosing adrenal insufficiency in its early stages can be extremely difficult. An adrenal insufficiency diagnosis can be reached by asking questions about the patient's medical history, performing a physical exam, and conducting certain lab tests. Lab tests used in diagnosing adrenal insufficiency are used to determine if cortisol levels are sufficient. In some cases, imaging tests may be useful in reaching an adrenal insufficiency diagnosis.
